SHANNON PASSERO

In 1998, a young woman named Shannon Passero planted a seed in the maze of streets that make up Chiang Mai, Thailand. She worked tirelessly for almost two decades, bringing her designs to North America, Europe, and Australia. She traveled the world for inspiration and designed in Canada and manufactured in Thailand.

In 2013, in downtown Thorold, in the heart of Niagara, she opened her first stand alone retail boutique in a 200-year-old Firehall and then expanded it again in 2015 and called it the Post Office by Shannon Passero. The store is now 6500 square feet on the main floor of a historic building that has been recognized by the National Trust of Canada for its historical significance in Canada.

The next adventure started in 2017, when she launched her namesake wholesale Collection. Today it is drawn, designed and sewn in Canada, US, Turkey and the very maze of streets she first started in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She partners with overseas factories that hold the same values and vision. Ethical business practices are at the core of everything the company is about.

The Collection continues to evolve each season. A thoughtful focus on minimal environmental footprint by carefully selecting materials, upcycling and working with lasting fabrics local to the artisan makers’ regions. Utilizing small-batch and artisanal-made pieces make each piece a work of Art.
